Bielefeld
Some people from other parts of Germany pretend that Bielefeld does not exist. It is a place many German citizens cannot locate on a map. A city in the state of Nordrhein Westfalen, Bielefeld is lost inside the Hanover, Frankfurt and Köln triangle.
In reaction to this, the city of Bielefeld made a film playing on this modern German myth that it does not exist. The film is called: "Die Bielefeld Verschwörung" - The Bielefeld Conspiracy, where three unlikely heroes save Bielefeld from an organisation that tries to make the city disappear. Made by design students from the Bielefeld University, it was released to a mixed reception from the Bielefeld public some of whom complained about its lack of authenticity and value as a film. I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Either there's something wrong with me or it was a good orientation film for me to my new home city.
