Tok Pisin
Tok Pisin is a creole language spoken throughout Papua New Guinea and was used as a common language of communication in the former German New Guinea. Since the independence of Papua New Guinea in 1975, the language has now become widely spoken in the former British New Guinea as well. Tok Pisin has also become the mother tongue of many Papua New Guineans born into an urban Papua New Guinea.
